Tommy Fury: 'I eat six eggs at 9am then watch a film'
3pm
I take Bambi [Tommy’s 22-month-old daughter with ex-fiancée Molly-Mae Hague] to a soft play near us called Antz In Your Pantz – though most of the time, she likes to kick back and watch TV. She’s definitely her father’s daughter. If somebody asks for a picture, I can’t just say, ‘Oh, sorry, I’m with my daughter.’ I’m nice by nature, I’ve never been horrible to one person. It’s not in my DNA. But I’ll keep Bambi away from social media as long as I can – I want her to have a normal childhood, playing in the park and messing around in the leaves. What she decides to do for her career is down to her – who knows where the world’s going to be in the next 20 years? But as long as she grows up with manners and respect, and knows right from wrong, I’m happy with that.
5pm
I don’t shop because everyone uses the weekend to go shopping, and the last thing I want to be doing is taking a million pictures, but I might wander around a village near me. When I see my book Lightning Can Strike Twice: My Life as a Fury in the shops, it’s crazy, very surreal. Not many people write a book so early on but I’ve lived through so much in 25 years and when opportunities arise, you have to take them.
7pm
I’m an awful cook and I like my house and I don’t want to burn it down. When I’m out of training and I’ve got the flexibility, I’ll go out for dinner – a nice bit of Italian or an American barbecue place. The thing I most miss when I’m training for a fight is burgers. I’ve tasted every burger on the planet and not being able to eat them for such a long time really does test me.
