Tommy Fury looks miserable at Tyson Fury fight after Molly-Mae ...
Tommy Fury appeared far from cheerful as he anticipated Tyson's showdown with Oleksandr Usyk on Saturday night. The 25 year old, who has switched between boxing and reality TV fame, was present at ringside in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, for his brother's bout against heavyweight champion Usyk, seeking to avenge Tyson's sole professional loss from May.
Tommy's expression conveyed nothing but gloom as he observed the preliminary fights at the Kingdom Arena, possibly anxious about the upcoming challenge for his elder sibling. This comes amid Tommy's rush to secure a new opponent after his scheduled Misfits Boxing match with ex-UFC fighter Darren Till in Manchester on January 15 was cancelled.
The decision to call off the fight came post a heated press conference where Till jokingly threatened to employ MMA tactics in the boxing ring. Despite Till's assurances that his comments were all in the spirit of promotion, Tommy has since revealed that his manager advised him to withdraw.
In a conversation with The Stomping Ground, Tommy explained: "The way he was going about it was so stupid. I was going to let it go at the press conference. I wasn't really interested" but then added, "But then my manager rang me a few days afterwards and he's like, 'This fella's talking to betting companies about if he's losing the fight he's gonna do this, and if he's losing the fight he's gonna do that.'".
"I then saw his first fight, I hadn't watched it at the time, and that ended in some big brawl and I thought to myself, 'What am I doing? ' At the end of the day, Darren Till is a man with no brain cells. He was going to get the highest payday of his career. But that's now dead in the water, I'm at a stage in my career now where I don't need to be rolling around the floor with Darren Till", reports the Mirror.
The boxer's visit to Saudi also follows a reunion with his former fiancée Molly-Mae Hague last weekend, when the pair took their daughter Bambi to a soft-play centre. This was the first time they had spent time together since their breakup earlier this year.
In a new vlog on her YouTube channel, Molly-Mae described the reunion, saying: "Tommy and I took Bambi to a soft play yesterday together, which was actually a really lovely thing to do and was really enjoyable to do that together."
