Tottenham player ratings: Cristian Romero a colossus, Son simply sublime and Kulusevski inspired

Hugo Lloris

Made a superb early save to tip Daka's shot onto the right-hand post and, in the second half, flew out to deny Iheanacho. Didn't have much to do, but what he did was important and stopped the game from turning. Couldn't do much about Iheanacho's late low shot right inside the right-hand post. 8

Cristian Romero

A colossus at the back. Bailed out Davies 15 minutes in with a flying interception in front of Spurs' goal. Made tackles galore as well as sweeping up the pitch and every tackle caused a huge smack of a noise that reverberated around the stadium. It was his huge, crunching challenge in the Leicester half that set Tottenham away for Son's goal. One of his best performances yet in a Spurs shirt and near faultless. 10

Eric Dier

Did everything he needed to at the back, and Leicester got very little change out of him with their attacks. 8

Ben Davies

A loose touch on 15 minutes set up a good chance for the visitors, but after that, he kept Spurs on the front foot by pressing forward and moving the ball quickly. 7

Emerson Royal

Did very well defensively as Leicester made very few inroads down his side of the pitch. Less to do from an attacking sense as those in front did the work, and that suited him perfectly and helped him concentrate on his defending, which was very good. 8

Rodrigo Bentancur

Dominated in midfield for much of the match, setting the tone with some crunching tackles in the centre of the pitch in the early stages. Got a standing ovation when he came off in the second half. 8

Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg

Another workhorse display in the middle, although his touch let him down on a couple of breaks up the pitch. 7

Ryan Sessegnon

Still lacking the confidence in his own ability at times, turning inside and passing rather than taking on his man. The one time he did he picked out Lucas for a chance towards the end of the first half. 6

Lucas Moura

A poor first half from the Brazilian as he gave the ball away on a number of occasions. Sent a header over from Sessegnon's cross late in the half. Hooked just 10 minutes into the second half. 4

Harry Kane

Gave the ball away five times in a row in the early stages but more than made up for it by stooping to head home Son's corner. Had another chance soon after when he chased down a poor back pass, but Schmeichel saved his effort. Not his finest day, but his goal was crucial to get Spurs into the ascendency, so that alone bumps his score up. 7

Son Heung-min

Grabbed another assist with his corner for Kane and then fired home himself on the hour mark with a clinical turn and finish. He saved the best for last, though with a beautiful curling shot that arrowed into the top left corner. Two goals and an assist in an excellent performance from the South Korean star, who has now reached 19 Premier League goals, his best return in a season since arriving on these shores. 9

Dejan Kulusevski

Being rested clearly did the trick, as he brought drive back to Spurs' right-hand side. He grabbed two assists for Son and caused Leicester all kinds of problems. 8

Came on for the final eight minutes and looked to continue to drive Spurs on. N/A
