London travel news LIVE: M25 crash at Waltham Abbey sparks 'long delays' as Overground partially suspended

Motorists are being warned of long delays on the M25 anti-clockwise in north London after a crash near Waltham Abbey.

All lanes have now reopened after a crash before Junction 25 for the A10 for Enfield involving three cars.

There is congestion from before Junction 25 back to Junction 28 for the A12 to Brentwood.

Meanwhile, on the Overground, there is no service between Camden Road and South Acton/Shepherd's Bush and between Gospel Oak and Upper Holloway due to the late finish of planned engineering work. Severe delays were being reported on the rest of the line.

Transport for London has said there are also severe delays between Stratford and Richmond, as well as to Shepherd's Bush after engineering works finished late.

'Heavy delays' on M25 following crash

Transport data site Inrix has warned there is congestion to halfway between J27 M11 and J28 A12 Brentwood, just before the Holmesdale Tunnel.

It means fewer trains are able to run and trains may be cancelled, delayed or revised. Disruption is expected to run until 10am.

Overground disruption expected into rush hour

All lines have now reopened following overrunning engineering works between Willesden Junction and Gospel Oak, said National Rail.

However, as service recovers, trains running through these stations may still be cancelled or delayed by up to 30 minutes.

Disruption is expected to continue until 9am.
