Kosmos considers takeover offer for Tullow Oil

Kosmos Energy confirmed on Dec. 12 that it has held preliminary talks concerning an all-share offer for Tullow Oil.

The two companies are partners in the deepwater Jubilee and TEN fields offshore Ghana, both of which Tullow operates.

According to the agreement with Tullow, Kosmos is required to announce no later than Jan. 9, 2025, either a firm intention to make an offer for Tullow or announce that it does not intend to make an offer.
