Foden was able to swivel and fire into the top corner from the edge of the area. The touch was excellent and the shot was superbly struck, but the Englishman should perhaps not have been so free to take aim.
5. Josko Gvardiol, Real Madrid 2-3 Manchester City (71mins)
Josko Gvardiol took Jack Grealish’s pass and, despite a fairly heavy first touch, fired towards the net from 25 yards out. It was quite the place to score your first Manchester City goal.

6. Federico Valverde, Real Madrid 3-3 Manchester City (79mins)

7. Bukayo Saka, Arsenal 1-0 Bayern Munich (12mins)
A beautiful pass from Ben White and Bukayo Saka allowed it to roll across his body before beating Manuel Neuer to put Arsenal ahead.
8. Serge Gnabry, Arsenal 1-1 Bayern Munich (18mins)
Only Karim Benzema (11) has scored more away goals against English clubs in the Champions League than Serge Gnabry’s seven.
He was at it again against his former club Arsenal as Bayern broke and Gnabry tucked the ball past David Raya.
9. Harry Kane penalty, Arsenal 1-2 Bayern Munich (32mins)
Did Arsenal goalkeeper David Raya dive too early or did Harry Kane’s little look up send him the wrong way? Whatever your view, the England captain’s penalty was certainly assured.
10. Leandro Trossard, Arsenal 2-2 Bayern Munich (76mins)
A ‘magic moment’ from Gabriel Jesus and then a lovely finish from Leandro Trossard got Arsenal back into this tie.
