We will be bringing you the latest updates and pictures as Spanish fans arrive in the city ahead of Liverpool's match against Villarreal.

The teams are playing in the semi-finals of the Champions League at Anfield and fans are expected to enjoy the atmosphere in Liverpool city centre, before heading to Anfield later tonight before kick-off at 8pm.

Liverpool John Lennon Airport has confirmed that eight Villarreal fan flights are arriving throughout today from Valencia and Castellon.

However some have arrived already with fans visiting Mathew Street and placing a Liverpool vs Villarreal scarf on the John Lennon statue. A fan account on Twitter posted a picture of the statue with the caption 'We all live in a yellow submarine.'
