Who is Virgil Abloh’s wife Shannon Abloh? Pair’s relationship explored


Off-White’s creator and founder Virgil Abloh died on November 27. Amid this, his followers have been curious to know more about his wife, Shannon Abloh.
The news about Virgil’s death was confirmed after a statement was released on his social media. The same was posted on the fashion designer’s brand Off White’s official Instagram page. Ever since the announcement, several fans have come forward and paid their tribute.

As per The Sun, Shannon is working as an American program manager at Monster. She has a Bachelor’s degree in management and marketing from Edgewood College.
Before joining Monster, Shannon had worked with Yahoo! While Virgil often shared a glimpse of his personal life on social media, Shannon has stayed away from it. At present, her Instagram page is private.

After being together for 10 years, Virgil popped the big question. The pair got married in 2009 in Chicago. The couple is proud parents to two children, a son, Grey, and a daughter, Lowe.

Virgil had been battling cancer for the past two years, as per his Instagram. On November 28, a post was made to confirm his death.
It stated: “We are devastated to announce the passing of our beloved Virgil Abloh, a fiercely devoted father, husband, son, brother, and friend. For over two years, Virgil valiantly battled a rare, aggressive form of cancer, cardiac angiosarcoma. He chose to endure his battle privately since his diagnosis in 2019, undergoing numerous challenging treatments, all while helming several significant institutions that span fashion, art, and culture.”
The post continued: “Through it all, his work ethic, infinite curiosity, and optimism never wavered. Virgil was driven by his dedication to his craft and to his mission to open doors for others and create pathways for greater equality in art and design. He often said, “Everything I do is for the 17-year-old version of myself,” believing deeply in the power of art to inspire future generations.”
He is survived by “his loving wife Shannon Abloh, his children Lowe Abloh and Grey Abloh, his sister Edwina Abloh, his parents Nee and Eunice Abloh, and numerous dear friends and colleagues.”
