'We'll have a chat' – Frank Lampard refutes hilarious Wayne Rooney ...
Frank Lampard has insisted Wayne Rooney must be confused, as he never had his feet rubbed by the England masseur while in bed during international duty.
Three Lions legend Rooney recently made the hilariously bizarre claim, having joined the Chelsea icon at four major tournaments during their celebrated careers.
Speaking on an episode of the Stick to Football podcast, Rooney said Chelsea legends Lampard and John Terry would have their feet massaged until they fell asleep before being tucked in.
The bedtime routine, according to Rooney, was apparently performed by none other than Billy McCulloch - the Chelsea masseur known for his terrible dad jokes and wicked laugh who also worked in the England set-up.
It caused Gary Neville to react with apparent bewilderment before saying: "No wonder we f****** lost!"
But Lampard has now responded to Rooney's anecdote and insisted that nothing of the sorts happened.

"I need to have a word with him because he's... would I call it selective memory?" he told BBC 5 Live. "I don't know what I'd call it, I don't know, maybe he got the wrong end of the stick.
"I certainly never had my feet rubbed to make me fall asleep in my room, I'm just going to correct here. I'm not going to speak for John but the story is, Billy the masseur was at Chelsea and was at England for a period of time.
"We were all very close, so naturally we would work with Billy in the medical room. Occasionally he would come to our room and do work which is very normal, I'm sure Wayne has had a similar situation.
"But I just want to clarify that we certainly didn't... I'm just trying to picture myself falling asleep and Billy's finishing and quietly leaving the room. I would have been uncomfortable with that and I love Billy."
Presenter Mark Chapman then claimed that it makes him sound like a prima donna and Lampard responded: "Yeah, it does.
"Like you can go where you want with it, you know? So it absolutely didn't happen. I've got witnesses, speak to Billy, get him on or whatever, but it didn't happen.
"But listen, I'm all fair game, I don't mind at all, I'm very relaxed about it, but you don't want the wrong picture of yourself. So I'll have a chat with Wayne."
Chapman then cheekily asked if Terry did have his feet massaged but his former teammate backed him up: "No I'm not going to say that, then I'm getting myself out and leaving John.
"No, I don't believe John... I don't know. But I'll have a chat with Wayne, he won't care, it's said now isn't it?"
