More snow for parts of Wiltshire as weather warning extended

Met Office forecasters originally put a yellow weather warning for snow and ice in place for Monday, January 6, which was set to be lifted by Tuesday.
But new predictions now suggest that snow will continue to come down heavily in southern parts of Wiltshire.
Trowbridge, Westbury, Salisbury and parts of Devizes have all been issued a further yellow warning for snow on Wednesday, January 8.
A spokesperson for the Met Office said: "A weather system may push snow into some southern counties of England on Wednesday, which could then prove disruptive.
The extended warning has only been issued for Southern Wiltshire (Image: Met Office) "Whilst not all areas may be affected, outbreaks of snow may push in from the southwest during Wednesday, potentially giving some significant accumulations in places.
"2-5 cm of snow could accumulate fairly widely, and as much as 10 cm over higher ground, especially over east or northeast-facing slopes.
"Snowy, wintry weather can cause delays and make driving conditions dangerous, so to keep yourself and others safe: plan your route, checking for delays and road closures, amending your travel plans if necessary."
The new warning comes after snow and ice on Tuesday, January 6, caused traffic disruption across the town.
Police in Chippenham attended five road incidents due to weather on Tuesday morning, and the force is now urging motorists to take extra care.
