Mateta storms your Player of the Match vote against West Ham

The Eagles were forced to fight for the three points following a gritty first-half, but secured their first back-to-back wins of the Premier League season following another clinical showing on the counter after half-time.

Whilst there were impressive performances collectively across the park, with manager Oliver Glasner hailing his side's overall control of the contest, the overall difference-maker – Mateta was the clear front-runner in your voting, picking up an almighty 76.1% of your votes.

Not only did Mateta score both goals – his third and fourth in four calendar games in 2025 – but he also created two key chances with inch-perfect slide-rule passes for Eddie Nketiah, the latter leading to the No. 9 being brought down to win the penalty.
