Will Smith and cast of movie King Richard pay surprise visit to local tennis players
YESTERDAY (November 17), the cast of King Richard visited Wimbledon, the site of many historic victories for Venus and Serena Williams.
Two-time Oscar nominee Will Smith stars as Richard, under the direction of Reinaldo Marcus Green. Aunjanue Ellis plays the girls’ mum, Oracene ‘Brandi’ Williams, Saniyaa Sidney stars as Venus, Demi Singleton stars as Serena, with Tony Goldwyn as coach Paul Cohen and Jon Bernthal as coach Rick Macci. The ensemble also includes Andy Bean, Kevin Dunn and Craig Tate.
As part of their visit, Will, Demi and Saniyya surprised 11 local junior players by joining in one of their coaching sessions, before taking some questions from the group.
Following their visit to Wimbledon, the cast and filmmakers attended the UK premiere of King Richardat the Curzon Mayfair, along with celebrity guests.
