The Jonas Brothers and Busted team up to perform Year 3000 News

The Jonas Brothers cover of Busted’s Year 3000 is iconic so it was only right that the Noughties pop bands teamed up for a duet.

The JoBros bought Busted out on stage at the 2019 Capital Summertime Ball on Saturday for a kickass performance which has the crowds bopping up and down and singing their hearts out.

The six lads performed in front of 80,000 fans, in what was Joe, Nick and Kevin’s first live show in the UK in nearly a decade.

The surprise collaboration came about after Jonas Brothers revealed their aspirations to team up with the British three-piece in an interview on The Official Big Top 40.

Jonas Brothers also performed hit songs including new track Sucker, and songs by their side projects including D.N.C.E’s Cake By The Ocean and Nick’s solo career.

Their new album Happiness Begins dropped the day before, and it comes as the Jo Bros reunited their band after the 2013 break-up that broke the hearts of many fans across the world.

The group released the single Sucker on 1 March which debuted atop the Billboard Hot 100 chart, and also became the first number one on that chart for the wildly successful sibling act.

Several of the songs however have been penned for the loved ones in their lives.

On Hesitate, which Joe wrote for Game Of Thrones actress Sophie Turner – whom he wed in late April – Joe sings: ‘Time, time only heals if we work through it now and I promise we’ll figure this out / I will take your pain and put it on my heart / I won’t hesitate, just tell me where to start.’

‘This is an important song. I wrote it for my significant other, Sophie, and it’s one of those love letters that you write to your partner saying, ‘”I’ll be there no matter what”,’ Joe previously told Apple Music about the song.

I Believe, written by Nick, is assumed to be about his whirlwind romance with Priyanka Chopra. He sings: ‘And people saying that we move too fast/ But I’ve been waiting for a reason, ain’t no turning back.’
