Amazon Prime users warned of sly membership scam
As previously reported by the Mirror, cunning scammers may take advantage of eager Prime Day customers by sending fake emails or texts urging them to renew their subscription, which they claim is about to expire. Those targeted may also be urged to make a payment for a Prime renewal that doesn't exist.
The crooks behind this sly scam are after stealing sensitive information such as login credentials or payment details, so make sure you keep yours safe. According to Amazon, Amazon emails will always come from an email address that ends in: @amazon.co.uk (e.g. shipment-tracking@amazon.co.uk, auto-confirm@amazon.co.uk, no-reply@amazon.co.uk), so make sure to check the sender's address carefully.
Amazon has also emphasised that they would never ask customers to email over any personal information to be, or update payment information that isn't linked to their Amazon orders or services. Look after yourself, and happy shopping.

Amazon shoppers warned to avoid fake sites set up by wiley scammers
As excited as you may well be to bag a thrifty bargain in the Amazon Prime Day sale, it's important to make sure you're actually shopping on the official Amazon site.
Remember, scammers can be very crafty, and won't think twice about taking advantage of unsuspecting customers jumping at amazing deals.
According to Amazon, they will never ask for you to email over any personal information to be, or update payment information that isn't linked to your Amazon orders or services. If you receive any emails requesting such info, then it could be that you've been targeted by a phishing scam.
Links to legitimate Amazon websites will begin with 'https://www.amazon.co.uk' or the international equivalent if you're overseas. For example, 'https://www.amazon.fr' for users in France. Be careful, and make sure you finish up Amazon Prime Day feeling safe, happy and, hopefully, chuffed to bits with your new purchases.
