Assassin's Creed Franchise Available for Cheap in Huge Xbox Sale

Assassins Creed Franchise Available for Cheap in Huge Xbox Sale
A huge sale is being hosted on the Xbox digital storefront, with the entire Assassin's Creed franchise having major discounts.

Ubisoft's Assassin's Creed franchise has seen plenty of releases since its inception. This stealth-action open world series has seen twelve mainline games and several spin-offs across multiple gaming consoles over the years. While there are games in the franchise that have been hit-or-miss, there have been just as many award-winning entries. This includes 2020's Assassin's Creed: Valhalla, which was praised for the story, characters, and visuals, though criticized for its length and the open-world nature of the game wearing out its welcome.

Despite this, the game is still seeing major success, with Assassin's Creed: Valhalla's 2022 roadmap giving out plenty of details. This includes the game's upcoming DLC Dawn of Ragnarok, which is set to lean heavily into mythology. Even if the franchise has sold millions of copies, there are some gamers who haven't played an Assassin's Creed title before. Fortunately for those gamers, Xbox is hosting a sale that covers the entire franchise and can help them find their first title.

Earlier this week, Xbox's latest weekly sale added over 400 deals to the storefront, which can allow players to get several games for cheap. This includes various categories such as Deals with Gold, Spotlight, and titles published by EA, among others. The biggest one, however, is the aforementioned Assassin's Creed franchise sale, where every game in the franchise has received at least a 40% discount of its normal price.

Every game in this sale works on modern Xbox consoles regardless of release date, due to the backwards compatibility feature of Xbox systems. These discounts are pretty big, with some of the largest discounts being for 75% off of certain titles. With bundles that contain a few titles from the franchise available, too, new players have the opportunity to get their first Assassin's Creed games for incredibly cheap. Likewise, longtime fans can obtain a game they missed out on. For example, one of the biggest discounts for the franchise is the Assassin's Creed Legendary Collection, which has been discounted from $200 to $60, providing six AAA games for a low price.

This sale does include the recently released Assassin's Creed Valhalla, where it has been discounted like all the other entries in the series. The Ragnarok Edition of Valhalla is also discounted, which contains the upcoming Dawn of Ragnarok Expansion Pack that will be releasing in less than a week. The majority of these Assassin's Creed deals will be available for a very limited time, as the sale is set to expire on March 8th. Other deals going on during this Xbox sale provide some compelling prices for different games, such as The Witcher 3 and Cyberpunk 2077.
