Inflammatory Bowel Disease
Inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) is a chronic condition that affects the digestive system. It is a term used to describe two main conditions: Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis. These conditions cause inflammation and damage to the lining of the digestive tract, leading to symptoms such as abdominal pain, diarrhea, and weight loss.
Celltrion Healthcare and the European Federation of Crohn's and Ulcerative Colitis Associations (EFCCA) have partnered to launch the Where's CC? (Crohn's & Colitis) campaign for World IBD Day 2023. This campaign aims to raise awareness about IBD and highlight the challenges faced by patients. An interactive visual with hidden CC characters, based on real-life patient insights, will be used to spotlight the difficulties faced by those living with IBD.
If you or a loved one has been diagnosed with IBD, it is important to work with your healthcare provider to manage your symptoms and prevent complications. Treatment options may include medication, lifestyle changes, and in some cases, surgery. By staying informed and taking an active role in your care, you can help manage your condition and improve your quality of life.
