People are finding out they can buy a tiny home from Amazon for less than £20000 and say it's 'worth it'

People have found a tiny home for less than £20,000 that Amazon will deliver right to your door.

Just when you felt as though the chances of being able to buy a house were close to zero, think again, as Amazon might just be here to save the day!

We’re all feeling the pinch during the cost of living crisis, with the average age of first time buyers rising to 34.

However, this tiny home could be your golden ticket to owning your own place.

The average house price in the UK in 2023 was £288,000, so it would be a significant saving when you put that into perspective.

A TikTok video, made by Nathan Graham, showcased his tiny home purchase which has since received 21 million views.

The concept is said to make owning a home more affordable, but when it comes to practicality, what are they like?

The house is 19-feet-by-20-feet, which when you think about it, is probably just short of a caravan.

But despite the package being delivered by Amazon, you’ll have to find your own means of putting it together.

The clip showed the house being put together relatively quickly, just without pre-wired electricity.

After this process, you’ll have a livable tiny home which you can eat and sleep in, as well as a built-in toilet and all necessary plumbing requirements that go with it.

Talking to Newsweek, Redfin Chief Economist Daryl Fairweather said: “Tiny homes and [ADUs] that add density to an area can help make neighbourhoods more affordable to people who may otherwise be priced out.

“I think of ADUs as one tool in our toolbox to promote housing density, especially when combined with policies that promote building more multi-family housing.

“That's when we can see real progress in bringing down housing costs for all families.”

Speaking to MarketWatch, shopping expert Trae Bodge also had an opinion on the phenomena, saying: “I’m not surprised to see homes for sale on Amazon.

“Selling these homes online presents a new level of opportunity for the retailer to reach consumers who are outside of their local area.”

But people in the comments were slightly wary of the creation, with one saying: “Imagine you’re sleeping and in the middle of the night your house suddenly folds.”

Another said: “Bro what if someone pushed on your wall?!”

But one user had an amazing idea : “Who’s down to make a village?”
